About Ron Morecraft
Asheville resident Ron Morecraft worked both as a fine and commercial artist for over 30 years. A graduate of Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts, as well as the Academies of Fine Art in Milan and Rome, Mr. Morecraft began with a studio in NYC, where he created award winning special effects photographs for innumerable clients ranging from CBS Records to Reader\'s Digest. His interest in Òmaking a picture, not just taking a pictureÓ led to an early interest in computer technology. A pioneer in the use of computers to create magical photo/illustrations, Ron began digitally enhancing and altering his images for the publishing and advertising industry as early as 1984. His awards in the commercial industry include NJ Art DirectorÕs Awards; PEI Magazine featured artist, and much more.
Since moving to Asheville in 2002, Ron has turned his focus exclusively
to fine art.
